The First Siege of the “Cranes of Hope” project.
Thursday, February 27th, 2014.
Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, Minneapolis, MN.
We had a total of 13 people come together to create Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) for people and patients who could use a little up lifting. Each card is a unique miniature work of art with an inspirational/uplifting message and a small origami crane. The crane is a symbol of Hope, Peace and Healing. Fifty-two of these little gems were created with passion and love. Success! Spreading smiles.
Thanks to Jayson King, Art of Healing Program Manager for believing in this project and supporting it. Also a huge thanks to everyone who came and gave of their time and talents.
Question: What do you call a group of cranes?
Answer: A Siege.
Oh, Jeanne, how wonderful to come together to do something so creative to help others. Everyone who receives one of the Artist Trading Cards you and 12 other artists made will sense the support and encouragement that went into creating each card. Hearty thanks.—Sue
